Mildred Natecho will this Saturday take on nine hole Eldoret Golf Course for the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Golf Tournament.
Teeing off handicap 13 was optimistic that the tax payer’s tournament will be better than other golfing events at the club.
Speaking in Eldoret on Thursday, Natecho was ambitious that she will register good results.
“I have not been performing well recently but come Saturday, I will be trying my best to register good results if possible to win the title where I have taken too long to win,” said Natecho.
The home golfer added that home advantage will also increase her chances since she has been carrying out much on her training on the course.
“I always have less training on the course that am used to but golf is a different game that can change at any time. It all comes by luck and determination,” added Natecho.
The Eldoret based player will be on the tee at 11:30am playing alongside Nandi Bear’s Golfer Natalie Metto, Kiran Shah and W. Samoei.
Club captain Moses Tanui was confident that the event will bring together many golfers from neighbouring clubs since the event is a major one in the region.
“We are expecting many golfers to turn up since KRA is a big organization and so far many have confirmed taking part,” said the former marathoner turned golfer.
