Kenya’s Junior Malkia Strikers, the national under 20 volleyball women team defeated Egypt to storm into the finals of the ongoing Women’s U20 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The Jackline Basaras coached side won in straight sets of 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 in the first semifinal, awaiting their opponent between hosts Cameroon and Senegal who will play in the second semifinal this evening.
The match between Kenya and Egypt at the semifinal was a repeat of third match where Kenya 3-1(25-21, 31-33,25-19,25-21), which was an improvement into today’s semis.
Kenya recorded four victories, losing to Cameroon in the second match.
