Kenyan boxers dominated the Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championships that came to a close today at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.
As hosts, Kenya won gold through Silas Onyango, , Amina Martha, Veronica Mbithe to top the chats.
Onyango won gold in the men’s light flyweight with victory against Congo’s Mayala Tsimba, Amina won the bantamweight title for Kenya’s second gold after beating Tanzanian Zulfa Yusuf then Mbithe won the third gold in light flyweight bout against Uganda’s Muduwa Brenda.
Kenya also won silver through Captain Elizabeth Andiego against Congo’s Mwamba Lulua, Cynthia Mwai, won silver after losing to Congolese Mbalayi Mbamba in light welterweight.
