Kibai for gold as Kiptum win silver in 5,000m at World Deaf championships

Symon Kibai Cherono won 5,000m gold in the ongoing World Deaf Athletics Championships in Lublin, Poland with Kenya leading the table below

After winning bronze in 10,000m, Kibai held on to win the 5,000m gold with season best of season best of 14:25.50 ahead of compatriot David Kiptum Kipkogei for silver in a season best of 14:28.71.

Another Kenyan Martin Gachie Ndungu  finished in fourth place in a season best of 14:42.09. Kenya is second on the medal table with two golds, one silver and two bronze totaling to five medals.
