Sheila Chepkoech and Ezron Kimurgor won the 1.2km title at the International Schools Sports Federation (ISF) at the Ngong Racecourse.
The Grade six pupil at Tiloa Primary school led an all Kenyans podium sweep in the first race of the day. She won in 3:55.2 leading Belinda Chepkorir to second after timing 3:55.1 followed by Dorcas Chelangat kemei for third position in 3:57.1.
She said that she had trained well to come and achieve the victory.
“I was well prepared for this race that is why I managed to win with ease,” she said.
Kimurogor, a grade 6 pupil from Kabiyet Township Primary school won the boys title in 3:43.5 ahead of Benjamin Shikuku (3:46.7) and Ugandan Caleb Kibet Chasinja completing the podium at 3:48.8.
