Kosgei and Ayele are Lisbon half marathon champions

Former world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei reclaimed her Lisbon half marathon title she last won in 2016 as Kenyans dominate in major road races across the world.

The former Chicago marathon champion won her second title in Portugal City, ahead of the April 21st London marathon, won the women’s race in 1.05:51 edging out Ethiopian Bosena Mulatie to second at 1.09:00 with compatriot Tigist Mengitsu completing the podium at 69:14 with another Kenyan Betty Chepkemoi in 4th place with 1:09:35.

Ethiopian Dinkalem Ayele (1.00.36) won the men’s title ahead of Kenyan Dominic Chemut (1:00.40) and Amanal Petros completed the podium at 1:00:56.
