Kosgei runs away with Barcelona course record as Teshome win

Kenyan Samuel Kosgei and Ethiopian Tadu Teshome won the 42^nd edition of Barcelona marathon held today in Spain.

The little known Kosgei won the title in 2:06.03 to break the course record ahead of Moroccan Othmane El Goumri in 2:06.30 and compatriot Mohamed Ziani- 2:06.33.

Ethiopian Teshome won the women title, leading compatriots to a podium sweep in 2:23.53, leading Meseret Gola (2:24.09) to second and Meseret Belete to third in 2:24.26.

The best Kenyan women was Vane Nyaboke who finished in 6^th position after timing 2:25.32 with fellow Kenyan Esther Chesang in 7^th place timing 2:26.11
