World marathon record holder Brigid Koskei will be facing off with two time world champion Sifan Hassan to attempt break the world 18km record at the Brussels AG Memorial Van Damme Diamond League on 4th September.
The duo will be chasing to break the 18,517km distance within one hour set 12 years ago in 2008 by Ethiopian Dire Tune.
Kosgei, who will be defending her London marathon title on October 3rd enjoys a world marathon time of 2:14.04 that she set at the Chicago Marathon last year in October.
