Koth Biro: South B wins maiden title

In absence of defending champions A1000 streets, South B Combined took the advantage to win the Koth Biro title after beating God Above All (GAA) Huruma in the final match with a solitary goal played on Sunday at Huruma Grounds, Ziwani Estate, Nairobi.

Patrick Mugendi scored the only important goal on 60th minute to give South B Combine their maiden title in the 2017/2018 season. The annual tournament attracted 32 teams was good for the winners as they pocketed Ksh300,000 while runners up Huruma pocketed Sh100,000 courtesy of SportPesa amongst other sponsors.

The Charles Omondi charges South B, won two consecutive corners in the fifth minute but Huruma defenders cleared their lines against coachship of  Nakuru AllStars tactician Ezekiel Akwana, Huruma struggled to control proceedings.

Fifa Best’s Musa Masika won the Most Valuable Player, South B’s Anthony Obonyo took home the Golden Glove sponsored by Arnold Origi while Umeme Bees’ Ramadhan Emeka won Most Promising player, with each getting Sh10,000 as the most Outstanding Award went to Flaita Lalur.
