Kenya’s Jacob Krop, Nicholas Kimeli, Beatrice Chebet will be battling for Zurich, the last leg of World Athletics Diamond League series in Germany.
The Commonwealth Games 5,000m bronze medalist won Brussels meeting in 12:45.71 last weekend will be hoping to improve on his time in the 5,000m as well as Kimeli set for tomorrow.
The world 5,000m silver medallist recorded the fastest time in the world so far this year to beat USA’s Grant Fisher and his Kenyan compatriot Nicholas Kipkorir, who will both also be on the start line on Wednesday.
Krop and Kimeli will be against Ethiopia’s Selemon Barega and Telahun Haile Bekele, plus South Sudan’s Dominic Lokinyomo Lobalu, and others joining them in the final include Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha and Kenya’s Cornelius Kemboi, plus Germany’s Maximillian Thorwirth
In women, Chebet will be chasing back to back title when she lines u[ in the 5,000m race.
