NEW York City marathon defending champion Sharon Lokedi will lead Olympic marathon champion Peres Jepchirchir and world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei at this year’s New York City marathon set for November 5th in the United States of America.
Today, the named the four athletes led by defending champion Lokedi, Jepchirchir and Kosgei will be facing off with Boston marathon champion Hellen Obiri to battle for women elite races.
This will be the first time the top four athletes will be battling for the title in the world majors marathon race where Lokedi won the title in 2:23:23 and became the eighth athlete to win the race in their true 26.2-mile debut.
