Malkia Strikers were the winners of Group B matches that consisted of five teams faces Egypt that finished second in pool A that had four teams.
Malkia won all their matches against Tunisia, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Women’s African Nations Championship is also the final round of qualifying for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship for the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB). Only the two finalists will make the trip to Japan. The remaining spot in the semifinals is in Pool B, which will be between Senegal, Nigeria and Tunisia on the final day of pool play on the 11th. Semifinals will be on the 13th and the final on the 14th.
