MTRH fc ready for Division One Promotional battle

Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) fc team manager Solomon Tanui is confident that his team will qualify to play in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One Zone B next season.

MTRH will battle for the one slot promotion in the four teams FKF National Division Two Western Zone Mini League set for this weekend at Kapsabet Showground, Nandi County.

Tanui was confident that they will make it to the third tier of the FKF football ranking in the country after Kenya Premier League (KPL) National Super League (NSL) and National Divion One Zone B.

The hospital sponsored team will face off with Busia Wolves from Busia County in the second match after Kakuma United from Turkana against Bilombe from Busia County.

“We want to win the mini league and get promotion. We are committed to the course and we have set up a camp in Eldoret ahead of the league,” said Tanui.

Meeting chairman Bernard Lagat said they have all set for the mini league as they seek to promote football in the region.

“We have had good preparations for the event and we hope teams are prepared too for the event. It is through this that we promote football in the western region,” said Lagat who is also the chairman of FKF North Rift chairman.

Winner in the first match on Saturday will wait for the wnner in the second match ahead of Sunday’s finals.
