Reigning Africa Junior cross country champion Miriam Cherop won 6km junior women race in style. The form two student at Isaik secondary school clocked 21:23.7.
By trying to fit in her elder sister’s (Sandra Chebet) shoes, Beatrice Chebet finished second in the race timing 21:27.0 failing to win her sister’s title she won the title last year.
“I want to be like my sister. When she ex it’s the junior category, I want to take over since she has dominated the race for long,” said the Africa junior 3000m silver medalist.
