Newcomers ELDOWAS, Chema dominate KVF day four at Kasarani

Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) recorded their maiden victory against last season’s Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League runners-up, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).

The newly promoted Eldowas sunk KPA in a five setter thriller, winning 3-2 in 25-19, 27-29, 26-28, 25-11, 11-15 in the 4^th day of the first leg of KVF league at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Under Coach Mathias Kosgei, Eldowas showed grit and determination to pull off the upset for the KPA ahead of second leg next week.

Equity Bank today recorded their second victory against Rift Valley Prisons in 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-21, and 25-13, adding on their win against Trailblazers yesterday. The victory came after losing to KPA and Kenya Prisons on Saturday and Friday.

Kenya Prisons remains unbeaten, winning all their four matches in the four day event. Today, they managed to beat Prisons Nairobi 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-23).

At the same time, the newly promoted Chema Volleyball Club has maintained unbeaten streak after securing victory against the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-1 (25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 25-16).

It was another blow to the champions General Service Unit (GSU) after falling to Trailblazers with straight sets of 25-21,25-13,25-22. This los comes after opening loss to Kenya Airport Police Unit (KAPU) in a five-set match.

KAPU edged out their compatriots Administration Police of Kenya 3-0 at 46-44, 31-29, and 25-22.
