Reigning Africa 20km race walk champion Emily Ngii has been named the Team Kenya captain ahead of World athletics championships in Budapest, Hungary.
The Africa Games 20km race walk champion will lead the contingent as team Kenya will be battling for medals when the championships kicks off on August 19th to 27th.
Making her second appearance at the championships was elected by fellow athletes will be deputyzed by former world javelin champion Julius Yego.
Athletics Kenya named 56 athletes 24 women and 32 men to fly the Kenyan flag.
