Kenya Golf Union (KGU) has named Samuel Njoroge, Simon Njogu, Zubair Khan and Mutahi Kibugu to represent the country at the Africa Zone Four Golf Championships to be staged at Bujumbura Golf club in Burundi.
The June 4th to 9th tournament will see Njoroge from Railways and Njogu of Great Rift Valley Golf Resort as senior players while Muthaiga’s pair of Khan and Kibugu will fly the junior flag.
Senior golfers were selected basing on the ongoing Kenya Amateur Golf Championship series, with Njoroge on the leaderbaord followed by Njogu while juniors’ selection was based on their ranking.
The four golfers will be under the tutelage of John van Liefland and managed by KGU vice chairman Anthony Murage.
Kenya will be facing off with hosts Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Seychelles.
