Oloibe to lead golfers for Huduma Day tournament

Acting Kenya Seed managing director Fred Oloibe will lead over 100 golfers for Saturday’s monthly Mug dubbed Huduma day on Kitale golf club.

The host will be joined by north Rift clubs like Eldoret that has presented many golfers according to the draw released by Kitale captain Dr. R. Kiptum.

In a communiqué from the Kenya Seed, the day is meant to thank their loyal customers for supporting the company.

“The Ag MD will have with various guests and farmers who will be in attendance. This sponsorship is tailored to coincide with the International Customer Service Week, telling farers about the different varieties produced by the company towards achieving the Big 4 Agenda on Food Security and Nutrition,” read the statement.

“The tournament is a unique, from the normal Annual Kenya Seed Classic Golf usually held during the planting season. Since the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down activities, Kitale Club has downscaled its activities and as the country gradually opened, they have played friendly tournaments sponsored by the members. This is one such tournament where the Kenya Seed MD will sponsor in his capacity as a member of the club and golfer.” Stated the communiqué.

Oloibe will be taking to the greens at 9:20am according to the draw playing alongside Elijah Ndegwa and K. Maina.

Elgeyo Marakwet governor Alex Tolgos will be the first player on the tee at 8.00am alongside captain Kiptum and P. Shah.

Eldoret long hitter Aron Kitur will be playing at 10.10am with Kitale’s top golfer Philip Shiharsy and C. Chesire.

Kitur will be accompanied by Eldoret golfers like Amos Butit, former captain Sandeep Grewal, former chairman Hellen yego, current chair Florence Murgor among others.
