Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga scored his 27th goal as Kashiwa Reysol defeated Sunfrecce Hiroshima in today’s J1 League in Japan.
Olunga scored the only goal in the 1-0 to pick maximum points at the Edion Stadium.
Olunga is the second highest paid Reysol player (Sh85.6 million per year), after 33-year-old Brazilian right-winger Cristiano (Sh96.3 million).
Nicknamed Engineer, Olunga showed he was hungry for goals after breaking the deadlock in the 17th minute with a pass from Hiroto Goya and beat keeper Keisuke Osako.
