Kenyan iinternational Michael Olunga did not play as his side Kashiwa Reysol edged out Cerezo Osaka in the YBC 2020 J-League Levan Cup.
Reyso wwon 3-0 to qualify into the semifinal with goals from Ataru Esaka who netted a brace as Hiroto Goya.
Goya statted the score in the 40th minute before Esaka scored two fast goals in the 87th and 90th to seal the victory.
But kKenyan striker Olunga was rested despite scoring 14 goals in the Japanese top league
