Police draw with Leopards, go top as Mara shine over Sharks

Defending champions Kenya Police has overtaken Gor Mahia to the summit of the Kenya Premier League despite playing to a barren draw against former champions AFC Leopards.

The match at the Kasarani stadium handed Police a point to overtake Gor to 21 points as Gor remains second on 20 points with Leopards, who beat Gor on Sunday remains in 6^th position with 18 points.

Yesterday, Gor was held to a 1-1 draw against bandari in Mombasa.

At Awendo stadium Mara Sugar FC produced a composed and authoritative performance to beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 with goals from Jim Owidi and Dennis Cheruiyot in the 52^nd and 68^th minute respectively.
