Police draw with Leopards, go top as Mara shine over Sharks

Defending champions Kenya Police has overtaken Gor Mahia to the summit of the Kenya Premier League despite playing to a barren draw against former champions AFC Leopards.

The match at the Kasarani stadium handed Police a point to overtake Gor to 21 points as Gor remains second on 20 points with Leopards, who beat Gor on Sunday remains in 6th position with 18 points.

Yesterday, Gor was held to a 1-1 draw against bandari in Mombasa.

At Awendo stadium Mara Sugar FC produced a composed and authoritative performance to beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 with goals from Jim Owidi and Dennis Cheruiyot in the 52nd and 68th minute respectively.
