The 5th edition of the annual Tinderet Barngetuny Mountain Race set for January 17th 2026 in Tinderet, Nandi County has increase in distance.
Race organziers said that the initial 12km distance has been extended to 21km to serve many athletes to compete at the race.
Race founder led by Erick Barngetuny and Julius Melly have said that this year’s race has been extended from 14km to 21km to attract more fans and to be able to develop various talents among the youth.
The National Competition is organized every year to select a team to represent the country in the World Mountain Race Championship with Kenya being praised for recording the best results in Spain last year
