Simbas Rugby World Cup journey cut short

Kenya Simbas lost the second match in the ongoing Repechage Rugby tournament in France to cut short their dreams of competing at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

The Kenya 15s aside went down 42-17 to Hong Kong today to leave Ian Snook team in a limbo.

Hong Kong are back to the fray after the bonus win over Kenya who remain bottom with no point as Canada and Hong Kong are on five points while Germany follows with four.

Kenya’s next and last match will be on Friday Nov 23 at 8pm against Germany while Hong Kong will take on Canada at 11pm on the same day.

The sole slot for Rugby World Cup will be determined by the winner of the Repechage. The Simbas lost only one match against Namibia in the Rugby Africa Gold Cup to miss the automatic qualification for the world extravaganza.
