Sportpesa Mega jackpot winner Samuel Abisai will now live his dream of setting up a football academy in his kakamega backyard.
As football player, once played for the local football teams without success to further his football skills, the winner will be establishing an academy that will nurture young footballers across Western region of Kenya.
He said, with many challenges associated with footballers in the country, he said he will use the kshs 221,130,2601 in his projects.
“This win is not mine but it belongs to us as a community in Kakamega County. I used to play football in this locality without success but now that I have won this money, it will benefit the community at large,” said Abisai who was accompanied by his parents at the grand home welcome at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega County on Saturday afternoon.
He added that his neighbours will benefit from piped water back in the village therefore asked the sportpesa fraternity to come in handy and support the projects he will be initiating.
“My village will benefit from piped water that I will initiate in my village. Recently, we installed electricity in our home but villagers lack power and this will be the best way to supply our village with electricity,” said Abisai.
