Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker came from a goal down to defeat 2009 champions Sofapaka in the rescheduled match at Ruaraka grounds today.
The brewers won 2-1 in a match that was postponed yesterday to today following heavy downpour with goals from Timothy Otieno and David Juma netting a goal apiece for Tusker.
Kevin Kimani fired Sofapaka put Sofapaka ahead on 38th minute but Otieno converted a 40th minute penalty to level before Juma sealed the victory for Tusker on 42nd minute.
And during the replay on Monday morning, Tusker outwitted the title-chasing Batoto ba Mungu, in only their third victory ever over Sofapaka in a decade.
The victory for Tusker was their first against since May 2016, sending them to 8th position with 33 points, seven adrift of second-placed Sofapaka after 24 rounds.
