A Ugandan athlete Rebecca Cheptegei and her partner Dickson Ndiema are nursing wounds at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret following a domestic violence at their home in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.
Cheptegei, who was in team Uganda at the concluded Paris Olympic Games competing in the 10,000m embroiled in a tussle with her boyfriend Ndiema allegedly pouring petral on her, she was burnt and Ndiema too.
Jeremiah Ole Kosiom confirmed the incident, saying the athlete’s boyfriend also sustained serious burns and is admitted at the same hospital.
