Mwanahalima Adam netted a brace as unbeaten Thika Queens thrashed Soccer Queens 6-0 in the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) matches played over the weekend.
But it hard for Eldoret Falcons who forfeited two weekend matches against Mathare United and Spedang FC due to financial challenges the team faces.
The Eldoret based team, which was third on the table, was relegated to 5th position.
Thika were in their own class in the Queens derby with goals from Mwanahalima, Catherine Wangechi, Rachael Muema, Mercy Achieng and Christine Kitaru.
It was their 12th win in the 12th matches played in the KWPL collecting 36 points ahead of 2017 finalists Vihiga Queens with 33 points with a game in hand. This is following back to back wins over Wadadia (7-1) and Kayole Starlets (6-1).
