Former Kenya Women premier league champions Vihiga Queens fell to Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening fixture of CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.
The Charles Okere coached team lost by a solitary goal against the favoured South African side with the only goal scored by Melinda Kgadiete.
The win for the COSAFA team has propelled them to the top of the table in pool B while the CECAFA champions still remains t the bottom.
