Vihiga to battle Asfar with a mission to win

Former Kenya Women Premier League champions Vihiga Queens will be facing off with Asfar FC in the ongoing inaugural CAF Women’s champions league in Cairo, Egypt.

After losing the opener to Mamelodi Sundowns by a solitary goal in the opening group B encounter, the Charles Okere coached side must win against the  Moroccan side Asfar FC at the at the Al Salaam Stadium in Cairo from 5pm.

Although Asfar FC have proved to be a strong team after they beat River Angels in the opening match.

Defeat for the Cecafa champions, coupled with a Sundowns win against River Angels in the other group match will see Kenyan girls eliminated from the competition. Asfar tops the group on goal difference after their 3-0 win over Nigerian side River Angels in their first match.
