The Kenyan Vincent Yegon will be taking on defending champion Tadese Takele at the 2026 Tokyo Marathon, the World Athletics Platinum Label that will be held on March 1 in Tokyo, Japan.
Yegon, who has been running in many local races, will be testing the top notch marathon running where he will be up against compatriots Alexander Munyao Mutiso, Vincent Kipkemoi Ngetich, Timothy Kiplagat, Geoffrey Toroitich, Daniel mateiko among others.
Takele won last year’s title ahead of Kiplagat while Mutiso won the 2024 London Marathon, Ngetich was third in 2024 Berlin, with Ethiopia’s Milkesa Mengesha winning 2024 Berlin Marathon.
