Kenyan top ladies will battle out with visiting lady golfers as Amateur Ladies Open stroke play Golf Tournament tees off on par 72 Sigona Golf course over the weekend.
The tournament has attracted 21 visiting golfers from East Africa Community’s Tanzania and Uganda.others are from Sierra Leone and Swaziland where 14 will take part in silver category as and the remaining will play in bronze.
With 72 ladies confirmed taking part, w42 of them playing in Silver division while 30 willplay in the Bronze category.
The ladies will be battling out for the 54 hole circuit, starting with the first 36 holes will be played on Saturday, followed by the third and final 18 holes on Sunday.
Uganda is represented by Irene Nakalembe who will play on handicap 2 as Gymkhana based Madina Idd (Tanzania),handicap 3 will be lining up against Kenyan side.
Sierra Leone’s Mary Nevill will play against former Naomi Wafula and Kellie Gachaga, Joyce Wanjiru, Sarah Khanyereri, Mercy Nyanchama and Agnes Nyakio and the veterans Florence Maina, Jane Njoroge and Mary Karano.
