Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is an angry man following a video uploaded online over his involvement with socialite Shakila in Nairobi.
The Montreal midfielder was accused to spending kshs 500,000 for sex according to the video that has attracted attention.
In the video, Shakila claimed Wanyama paid her but the footballer strongly denied the claims.
During an Instagram Live interview with Mandela, Shakila claimed she had been paid for sex by several Kenyan celebrities, including Khaligraph Jones and Wanyama.
Wanyama claimed both Shakila and publisher Mandela (Xtien Dela) were using the lie to boost their online presence.
Wanyama wrote: “My attention has been drawn to a video circulating online containing false, fabricated and insulting allegations aimed at scandalizing my good name and reputation.”
“I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video.
“The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker’s imagination at best.
“I have NEVER met any party in the video
Shakila accused a number of Kenyan celebrities of paying her for sex in an Instagram Live
“Consequently, and with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue ALL legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek.
“That is all I wish to state.”
