Winning start for Police Bullets and Vihiga in Women Premier League

Champions Kenya Police Bullets started their title defence on a high note following their 2-1 win against Kayole Starlets as Kenya Women premier League kicked off this weekend.

The David Vijago coached side dominated against their hosts in a match played at the Utalii Grounds, Nairobi yesterday.

Lavyne Achola handed Bullets a 1-0 lead with an ongoal before Puren Alukwe doubled for the champions and Euphrasier Shilwatso scored a consolation for the hosts.

In Bungoma, Bungoma Queens failed to dominate at home after falling to four time champions Viiga Queens 0-3 in a Western derby today afternoon.

Elswewhere, Zetech Sparks shone at home, winning 2-1 against Kisped Queens while Trinity Starlets beat Kisumu All Starlets 4-2.
