Kisumu RFC were crowned the champions of 2019 KRU Championships title following their win against Western Bulls in a final match played today at Kakamega Showground.
With both teams already promoted to Kenya Cup next season, Kisumu will be bragging all the way into the top rugby league as the champions following their 5-23 win over their hosts.
The champions won 11-14 against Catholic Monks while Western Bulls defeated United States International University (USIU) 16-22.
Kisumu were crowned champions after Denver Audo, Moses Amonde, Jaycox Mwavali and Ronny Okoth all touched down before Stephen Obadia slotted a penalty.
