Faith Kipyegon, Beatrice Chebet and Agnes Chebet make it to Tokyo Championships final

Double Olympic Games gold medalist Faith Kipyegon and Beatrice Chebet have one step in winning double gold medals at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, japan when they will face off in 5,000m final.

The duo will be joined by Agnes Jebet Ngetich who was 8th in heat 2 after clocking 14:57.90 but Margaret Akidor failed to make it to the final after finishing 14th in heat One.

Kipyegon, who won her 4th World 1,500m title in Tokyo, she will be chasing her second medal in the 5,000m after making a qualification in today’s semifinal.

The world record holder finished second in heat 2 after clocking 14:56.71 behind winner Gudaf Tsegay in 14:56.71.

Chebet, who also won the 10,000m gold made it easy into the final with victory in heat One.

Chebet, who won both gold medals in 5,000m and 10,000m at the Olympic Games will be chasing a double in Tokyo. She won the heat in 14:45.59.
