Shujaa dominates day one of SVNS 2 in Nairobi

Shujaa, the national rugby 7s team recorded 100% victories in day of the HSBC World Rugby SVNS 2 series at the Nyayo stadium.

In the last match of the day, kenya beat Germany 15-10 to clai  top position heading into tomorrow’s final two matches with the tournament being played in round robin.

The Kevin Kimani coached side came from behind when Ben Ellermann and Felix Hufnagel made back to back unconverted tries for a 10–0 lead into breat.

But Kenya returned with renewed intensity when Nygel Amaitsa halved the score with his try before Patrick Odongo touching down for level at 10–10 as Festus Shiashi’s try sealed the 15-10 victory.

In the second match, kenya defeated Canada 29-12 to add on their 33-0 win against Belgium in the opening fixtures.
