Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Migori Youth defeated Equity Bank to win the National Super League (NSL) title with a match to spare.
With the 2-1 victory, Migori has been reistated to premier league after a decade of waiting. Migori defender Vincent Wanga scored first in the 25th minute then the bankers restored parity after 50 minutes for 1-1 but John Juma sealed the victory at home.
Equity, who are also chasing the promotion to premier league will have to wait until the last match next weekend .
Mombasa United, which is chasing the promotion slot used home ground advantage at Mbaraki stadium to beat the visiting Nzoia Sugar 1-0 to keep their promotion hopes alive.
