Kenya’s Junior Starlets, the national under 17 women team continued with their rampage after beating Somalia in their second match of the ongoing CECAFA Under 17 championships in at the Azam Complex in Tanzania.
The Mildred Cheche coached side humbled Somalia 6-0 to add on their 16-0 win over Sudan in the opening fixtures to remain unbeaten in the tournament.
In the 15th minute, Faith Boke scored the opener followed by Brenda Ochieng in the 17th minute to double the score then Beryl Okumu made it 3-0 and 4-0 in succession in the 23rd and 25th minutes into break.
Coming back to the pitch, Elizabeth Opiyo scored the 5th in the 63rd minute as Patience Mwenda sealed the 6-0 victory in the 83rd minute.
Kenya will now take on hosts Tanzania tomorrow at the KMC Stadium.
