Morocco was the first nation to make it through following their 3-0 victory against Canada in a one-sided match to silence home fans.
Azzedine Ounahi scored twice with a goal from Soufiane Rahimi sealed the victory as Morocco became the first nation and African country to make it to the best eight.
Ounahi was on target in the 50th minute for a 1-0 lead before doubling in the 82nd minute. As the match was almost coming to an end, Rahimini bounced on a loose ball to slot in the third for 3-0 in the 90+8 minute to seal the victory.
Paraguay 0-1 France
Kylian Mpappe scored a solitary goal when former champions France edged out Paraguay with a 1-0 win.
The 70th penalty was the only score that France needed to seal their quarterfinal slot.
