Nandi Bears player Gorrety Mutai carded a solid 43 stable ford points to win the Britam Golf title played yesterday at the nine hole Eldoret Golf club.
The handicap 20 player managed to seal the title, edging out 120 golfers drawn from Eldoret, Nandi, Nakuru, Kakamega, Limuru, Sigona, Golf Park, Windsor, Kericho, Njoro, Karen, Machakos among other clubs, attributing her victory after playing with top players like Eldoret’s Kennth Serem, Kakamega based Hirom Ikhokoro and nakuru’s Jacky Gitonga.
“This flight really pushed me to play better. I have been motivated to continue performing well in other events,” said Mutai.
Host captain Aron Kitur won the sponsor guest category with 31 Stableford points with Moses Lepiron and Mary Chumo claiming the men’s and ladies subsidiary titles 41 and 38 points apiece before Livingstone Adema winning the staff title on 44.
Thomas Nderitu carded 43 points for the junior title then long hitting Shadrack Ngetich and Faith Chemutai walked away with longest and nearest to pin awards respectively.
