Adel Taoufiq Balala recorded back to back victories at the Karen Challenge Trophy, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series that came to an end today at the par 72 Karen golf club.
A week after winning the Kenya Matchplay title in Limuru, balala successfully edged out opponents to claim the title after firing level par 216 to claim the title ahead of Nakuru’s John Kamaisi with two over par 218 and Royal Nairobi golfer Mwathi Gicheru’s three over 219.
In the three day tournament that teed off on Friday and culminating today in the 54-hole strokeplay, the Nyali based player rolled in six under 66 in the opening round, fell off in the second round with +7 79 and ended well with one under 71.
