Kenyans Vincent Kiptoo and Regina Wambui Ndun’gu were the winners of today’s Tallinn half marathon held in Estonia with best times ever on the soil.
With Kenyans dominating the road, Kiptoo led a podium sweep for an all Kenyan affair when he cut the tape in 59:48 as course record ahead of compatriot Johana Erot who came second in 6:51 with Enos Kipruto Saat comp;eting the podium in 61:22.
Another Kenyan Edwin Kiprop Kiptoo followed in 4th at 61:49 with the first host boy Leonid Latsepov was 5th at 64:20.
In women, Wambui won the race in a record 67:35 followed by countrymate Winsam Jerono to second at 70:29 before Morocco’s Soukaina Atanane coming third at 71:24.
Ronja Hofstetter of Switzerland was fourth (1:14:36), followed by Norway’s Lene Nylund (1:22:51). The fastest Estonian woman was Pille Hinn, who finished sixth in 1:23:02.
