Bayern Munchen vs Ajax Amsterdam tickets go on sale

The match anticipated friendly match between Germany giants Bayern Munchen and Ajax Amsterdam is now official after tickets went on the sale today evening.

Kenyans and football fans can now buy tickets following the launch by Sports Cainet secretary Salim Mvuria.

The tickets’ buying went on air by 6PM EAT ahead of the Tmatch that will be played at the Raila Odinga International Stadium at Talanta Sports City in Nairobi on January 5th 2027.

Sales will be conducted in phases across different seating categories, with fans encouraged to book early as availability in subsequent phases will depend on demand.

For fans seeking a premium experience, skyboxes and hospitality packages will also be available through hospitality.talantasportscity.com.

Mvurya says preparations for the event are at an advanced stage, with organisers planning a 12-hour fan festival featuring international entertainers, alongside dedicated concierge services and other activities celebrating sport and Kenyan culture.

The January encounter is expected to feature the first teams of both clubs, with Bayern Munich and Ajax having committed in writing to field their strongest possible starting line-ups.

Mvurya clarified that the fixture will not be a legends match or an academy-team exhibition, but a meeting featuring senior players from the two European clubs, both of which have won the UEFA Champions League.

The event is being funded through private-sector support, according to the Sports CS, highlighting growing corporate interest in Kenya’s sports industry and its potential to attract investment.

Beyond the football spectacle, the match will serve as a test run for Kenya’s preparations to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
