Accurate Chumo fire Hole in One in Eldoret

It has taken eleven years for former Eldoret lady captain Esther Chumo to fire hole in one.

Last Saturday, the eloquent golfer registered her maiden Hole In One while playing at the Kengen golf tournament on nine hole Eldoret golf course.

The happy golfer said that she had a great feeling in her new attire.

“Hole in One…. I have played golf for the last 11 years and this was my first one ever. I did the magic on hole number 2 despite the course being dry in this dry weather,” said Chumo.

However, the proceeding holes did not favour her registering disappointing results.

“It was a good feeling but after that I had a number of bad holes in the first nine but I came back strongly in the second nine. It was an encouragement,” she said.

Playing handicap 6, Chumo confirmed that she is a good golfer and the unpleasing results were recorded due to the dry course

“We were struggling with the dry fairways but I cannot deny that I am a good golfer,” she said.

After missing out to play for Kenya team at last month’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open golf Championships, she has set her focus on the Kenya Ladies Open.

“At the Kenya Ladies Open, I will be playing in the western circuit in places like Kericho, Nyanza, Nandi, Kakamega, Kitale and of course Eldoret. Am hoping that the good swing gets better for better results,” she added.

“I missed the Kenya Open, I felt left out at that time but I was quite busy. Also my golf was not that good, not at the top but slowly I am coming back, feeling more confident now and if it was to come in the next month or so I would really want to go and play.
