Kenya’s Lwanga Aguda stayed on course for a medal in the boys under-15 categories after winning his sixth round match in the on-going Africa Schools Chess Championships in Nairobi.
Aguda beat fellow Kenyan Nathaniel Mugwanja taking his points tally to five out of six games.
He stays in the medal bracket as the tournaments enters round seven on Saturday.
Joe Mutua another Kenyan beat Jooste Waylin of South Africa also in the under-15 categories.
Fantalis Nduta is on course to win a medal in the girls under-11 categories after she beat Reddy Deeya of South Africa. Abel Taji completed wins by Kenyans after he edged out Mawutor Richardson of Ghana.
