Ahmed Ferej was the overall winner of the captain and past captain’s golf tournament played today at nine hole Eldoret Golf club.
As Nelesh Aggarwal won the past club captain’s prize on 37 stable ford points beating Anand Lakhani to second.
Playing on home turf, Ferej beat other two golfers -Koros Kiptoo and Catherine Gatua- on count back back after gathering 37 stable Ford points to lift the title.
Handicap 18 golfer, Ferej sunk three pars, four bogeys and two double bogeys in the inward nine to collect 19 stable ford points while he sunk other three pars, two bogeys and four double bogeys to end with 17 stable ford points.
Playing handicap 10, Kiptoo and Gatua on handicap 16 all managed to earn 37 stable ford points but Kiptoo managed second place through count back ahead of Gatua.
Former club chairman Hellen Yego finished fourth on 36 stable ford points as Brian Chemjor.
Aggarwal won the former captain’s prize with 37 points beating Lakhani to second with 36 points. Immediate captain Vandeep Sagoo completed podium places and Nelson Orgut completed the prize list in 5th place.
Nathan Tororei and Lakhani were the winners of first nine and second nine prizes with 21 and 20 stable ford points respectively.
Gracemary Karira and Rishab Sagoo took home the longest drive women and men while Kamal Shah was the winner of nearest to the pin prize.
