AIU hands Kibet four ban for Anti-doping violations

Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has banned long distance runner James Kibet for four years.

Today the AIU Displinary Tribunal said that Kibet was handed four years for the presence & use of a prohibited substance, both violations of the @worldathletics Anti-Doping Rules.

Kibet was banned for the presence of Norandrosterone  Metabolites of Nandrolone, which is a substance listed in category S1.1B Endogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids and their Metabolites and isomers, when administered exogenously of the WADA 2019 Prohibited List as a non-specified substance that is Prohibited at all times, in a urine sample collected from the Athlete on 1 November 2019 at the ‘Corsa dei Santi’ held in Rome, Italy.
