Former world marathon record holder was provisionally suspended for violating anti-doping rules.
According to Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) Kipsang, the 2012 Olympic marathon champion failed to declare his whereabouts.
The 37-year-old Kenyan was suspended “for whereabouts failures and tampering”, both violations of World Athletics’ anti-doping rules, the AIU announced on Twitter.
The two time London marathon champion broke the world marathon record in 2013 at 2:03.23 lowering then Patrick Makau record of 2:03.38 during Berlin marathon.
Kipsang also won New York City marathon and Tokyo marathon.
