International Olympics Committee has promoted Kenyans Heavyweight Elly Ajowi and middleweight Elizabeth Akinyi.
The duo automatically qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games set for July in Japan joining featherweights Nick Okoth and Christine Ongare in the hit squad.
IOC floated them above their competitors in the latest rankings released over the weekend with Ajowi and Akinyi ranked 10th with 275 points and 200 points when they compete in their 91kgs and 62kgs categories respectively.
Both Ajowi and Akinyi lost their bouts during the Africa qualifiers that were held last year in Senegal and the the International Boxing Federation canceled the world repechage qualifiers but it was a reprieve once they were elevated.
IOC has set aside a total of 13 slots for African boxers out of the 53 that will be contested in Tokyo.
