AllStars hit Vihiga in opening play-offs

Kenya Premier League (KPL) said Kisumu AllStars won the opening leg of promotion cum demotion play-offs against National Super league side Vihiga United.

Despite playing away, Kisumu defeated their hosts 1-2 in a match played at Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega today ahead of next week’s return leg.

Willis Otenda opened the score first for Stars as Shadrack Otieno extended the lead before Dennis Wafula netting a consolation.

Otenda opened the score in the 5^th after converting the penalty before Vihiga equalized through Wafula in the 76^th minute but struck the winner in the 80^th minute.

All Stars host the second leg in Kisumu on Wednesday
